Unit 5: Artificial Intelligence in Education -

In Unit 5, I explored the practical intersection of AI and pedagogy by experimenting with ChatGPT for lesson design and NotebookLM for synthesizing complex research using the TPACK and SAMR frameworks. My biggest takeaway was seeing how these tools move beyond simple automation to act as "thought partners,"  This unit challenged me to remain hyper-aware of FERPA compliance and the privacy concerns surrounding student data. Ultimately, this unit taught me that my role as an educator includes serving as a gatekeeper who must rigorously vet future AI tools for data security and accuracy before they ever reach my students.
